Adding Website Lookup to your Shopify store

Put order lookup on a dedicated Shopify page so customers can check status and review proofs.

Customers look up orders with email and/or order number on your Shopify site. They do not log into Shopify.

Use a dedicated page

Add lookup to a page such as Order Status (/pages/order-status). Do not put it on the homepage.

Create the page

During onboarding, Orstrax can create that page when the app has permission to write Shopify pages. You can also create the page in Shopify Admin and paste the published URL into Website Lookup Form.

Proof emails use that same URL with ?proof=.

Theme editor

  1. Create or open a Shopify page (not the homepage).
  2. Open the theme editor for that page.
  3. Add a block or section.
  4. Select Orstrax Order Lookup.
  5. Save the theme.

Existing pages that already use a shortcode keep working. Prefer the app block for new pages.

What customers see

On the lookup page they can see order progress, details you chose to show (order number, name, dates, line items, shipping, public notes), tracking when you include it, and any customer action such as proof review or an information request.

Configure those visibility options on Website Lookup Form.

Save the URL

In Website Lookup Form, paste the published page URL and save. That is the address customers receive in proof emails.
